The beginnings of the study of folk medicine and natural products in Albania date back to 1977 with the establishment of the Institute of Folk Medicine (IMP).
The activity of this institute, in which a number of medical and pharmaceutical specialists participated in gathering the best folk traditions from across the country, led to the development of around 12,000 records documenting traditional methods.
During this period, several studies were conducted on these folk methods, allowing for the evolution of their forms, as well as experimental and clinical research. However, this activity came to an end in 1992.
Salvia and the path to natural products
Since 1995, Salvia Produkte Natyrore has embarked on a journey in the development of herbal & medicinal teas, natural oils, and dietary supplements, bringing an innovative boost to folk medicine.

The production of herbal oils and several other methods in our laboratory are authentic Albanian techniques, widely tested through numerous studies by the Institute of Folk Medicine (IMP) for the treatment of various diseases. By implementing good manufacturing practices, we ensure the highest quality in our products.
Our experience in processing different plants while preserving the value of their active ingredients is the strength of our products, as they result from extensive IMP studies and our long-standing expertise. Salvia Produkte Natyrore is dedicated to processing and refining 77 pure products, free from contamination or animal-derived ingredients.
