Genesis of the Institute of Folk Medicine
The beginnings of the study of medicinal plants in Albania dates back to 1977 with the establishment of the Institute of Folk Medicine (IFM). The IFM, involved a number of pharmacists & specialists who developed a more than 12,000 pharmaceutical methods with the use of medicinal herbs. The activity of the institute came to an end in 1992.
Salvia and the path to natural products
Since 1995, Salvia Natural Products started its journey in the development of medicinal plants, natural oils & food supplements, through an innovative mindset.
We have invested in the study of medical herbs for human health with the belief that nature can provide a sustainable solution for the prevention and treatment of various diseases.
Our products are proven effective in treating kidney stones, prostate, treating upper respiratory tract, treatment of burns etc. The production of vegetal oils and other methods in our laboratory are autochthonous Albanian methods for the treatment of various diseases. Experience in producing and processing, while preserving the values of raw materials differentiates us from others. Salvia Natural Products is devoted in processing and fractioning 77 medicinal plants free from chemical materials or animal derived products, assured from organic farming methods.
